bagboy gives you a shareable golf scorecard that works two ways: live during the round, where every player in the group sees every score on their phone in real time as holes are entered, and after the round, where the final card can be shared as a clean summary to the feed, a crew chat, or outside the app. No screenshots of crumpled paper. No texting individual scores. One card, visible to everyone, updated live.

Live Sharing During the Round

When a round is created in bagboy and players accept the invite, every player in the group is connected to the same live scorecard. One person is the scorekeeper. They enter scores on their phone. Every other player's phone updates in real time.

This is not "sharing" in the social media sense. It is a live data connection. When the keeper enters a par on hole seven, every other phone in the group shows that score within seconds. No one has to ask "what did you get on that hole?" No one has to wait until the turn to see where they stand. The card is always current, always visible, always shared.

This matters most when your group is spread across two carts, or when someone falls behind on a long par 5, or when one player is walking and the others are riding. Everyone stays connected to the same card regardless of where they are on the course.

What Every Player Sees

Each player in the group sees the full scorecard on their phone:

• Every player's score on every hole. Gross and net, updated as the keeper enters them.
• Running totals. Front nine, back nine, overall. Over or under par at a glance.
• Game standings. If you are running skins, Nassau, Wolf, or any other game, the current standings update with every hole. You know who is winning, who is losing, and where your money is.
• Handicap strokes. Which holes each player gets strokes on, applied automatically from the stroke index.

The scorekeeper has the editing controls. Everyone else has a read-only view that updates live. This prevents conflicting entries while keeping the entire group informed.

Sharing After the Round

When the round is finalized, the scorecard becomes a shareable summary. The completed card includes:

• Full eighteen-hole scores for every player.
• Final results for every side game.
• Settlement: who owes who and how much.
• Key stats and highlights from the round.

You can share this summary in several ways:

• Post to the feed. The round result appears on your personal feed and any crew feed you are part of. Your crew members see the final scores, game results, and highlights.
• Send in crew chat. Drop the completed card into your crew's group chat for instant reactions and trash talk.
• Share outside bagboy. Send the scorecard summary to a group text, an iMessage thread, or anywhere else. It is a clean, formatted card — not a screenshot of a spreadsheet.

Posting to the Feed

The bagboy feed is where your golf life shows up. When you complete a round, the result posts to the feed with scores, game outcomes, and key moments. Your crew members see it. They can comment, react, and talk about the round.

A posted scorecard on the feed includes:

• The course and date.
• Every player's final score.
• Game results — who won the skins, how the Nassau finished, the Wolf point totals.
• Highlights — longest drive, closest to the pin, notable birdies or streaks.

It is the golf equivalent of sharing a box score. Except it is your box score, from your round, with your crew's commentary underneath it.

Crew Chat

Every crew on bagboy has a group chat. Dropping a completed scorecard into crew chat lets the whole group relive the round. Players who were not there can see exactly what happened. Players who were there can argue about what should have happened.

Crew chat keeps the conversation in one place. No separate group texts, no iMessage threads that half the group is not on, no WhatsApp groups that go dead after a week. The chat is part of the crew, alongside the leaderboard, the seasons, and the rivalries.

A Permanent Record

Every completed scorecard in bagboy is saved to your history and tied to the course and date. This means:

• You can pull up any past round. That Saturday in March when you shot your personal best? The scores are there. The game results are there. The players are there.
• It feeds your stats. Scoring average, course records, game-specific records — all calculated from your saved scorecards.
• It feeds the leaderboard. Every round you play within a crew contributes to the crew leaderboard and season standings.
• Head-to-head records update. Your record against every player you have ever played with in bagboy is tracked across all your shared rounds.

A paper scorecard gets lost, crumpled, or left in the cart. A bagboy scorecard is permanent. Six months from now, when someone claims they won the back nine that day, you can pull up the card and settle it.

The current standard for sharing a golf scorecard is either a photo of the paper card or typing scores into a group text. Both are terrible.

Can players who are not in the round see the live scorecard?

During the round, only players in the group see the live card. After the round, you can share it to the feed, crew chat, or outside the app.

Can I share the scorecard with someone who does not have bagboy?

Yes. The post-round summary can be shared outside the app as a clean, formatted result. The recipient does not need bagboy to see the final scores.

Is the live scorecard delayed?

Scores update within seconds of the keeper entering them. As long as both phones have a cellular or Wi-Fi connection, the updates are near-instant.
