Most golf apps give you a scorecard for yourself. bagboy gives you a scorecard for your group.

One person in the group is the scorekeeper. They enter scores hole by hole. Everyone else in the group follows the card live on their own phone — scores update in real time as they're entered. No passing a phone around. No waiting until the end to find out what happened on the front nine.

The scorecard shows gross and net scores, running totals, and game standings at a glance. After the round, it becomes a permanent record: every score, every game result, every stat, all tied to the course and date.

Games and bets

Skins

The most popular golf side bet. Lowest net score on a hole wins the skin. Ties carry to the next hole. bagboy tracks carries, applies handicap strokes, and settles at the end. Set the per-skin value or play for bragging rights.

Nassau

Three bets in one: front nine, back nine, and overall 18. Individual or team. With presses — automatic or called — bagboy tracks every sub-bet and settles them all. A $10 Nassau with two presses becomes five separate bets. bagboy handles all of them.

Wolf

The rotating-partner game where the wolf picks a teammate after watching tee shots — or goes alone for double stakes. bagboy manages the rotation, tracks the teams each hole, calculates points, and settles at the end.

Match play

Hole-by-hole competition. Win the hole, take the point. In a foursome, bagboy can run all six individual matches simultaneously. You see your match status against every opponent at a glance.

Stroke play

Total strokes, lowest wins. The simplest format, but bagboy still adds value: net scoring with handicaps, real-time standings, and automatic settlement if you're playing per-stroke.

Stableford

Points-based scoring that rewards good holes without punishing blow-ups. bagboy calculates Stableford points automatically (both standard and modified) and runs the settlement.

Vegas

A team game where scores are combined into two-digit numbers. Swings can be huge — that's the fun. bagboy forms the numbers correctly (low score first), tracks the running total, and handles the math that makes most groups give up by the turn.

Nines

Nine points distributed among three players each hole: 5-3-1 for a clear winner, 4-3-2 for a two-way tie, 3-3-3 for a three-way tie. bagboy applies the point splits correctly and nets the payouts at the end.

Sixes

Partners rotate every six holes in a threesome. Three segments, three different partnerships. bagboy tracks each segment as its own match and settles at the end.

Custom games

Your crew probably has its own house rules — closest to the pin on par threes, longest drive on a specific hole, greenies, sandies, or something you invented over beers. bagboy lets you add custom side bets to any round.

Who owes who

When the round ends, bagboy nets every bet from every game into the fewest payments between players. If you're up in skins but down in the Nassau, it's all calculated and netted. One screen shows who owes who and how much.

Tap a payment and bagboy opens Venmo with the recipient and amount pre-filled. You hit send. Done.

Crews

A crew is your golf group, formalized. It has members, a feed, leaderboards, seasons, rivalries, and chat.

Why crews matter

Without a crew, every round is isolated. You play, you post a score, it goes into your personal history. With a crew, every round contributes to something bigger — a season-long points race, a rivalry with your college buddy, a crew record at your home course.

What a crew includes

• Members. Invite people by name, phone number, or share link. Public crews accept join requests; private crews are invite-only.
• Feed. Every round played by crew members shows up in the feed with scores, game results, and highlights. Comment, react, and talk trash.
• Leaderboard. Scoring averages, season standings, game-specific records (most skins, best match play record). See who's actually the best golfer in your crew — not who claims to be.
• Seasons. Run a structured season with point standings and a champion. Weekly rounds accumulate points. End the season with a playoff, a final-round showdown, or just crown the points leader.
